PERSONAL OPINION
Hello everyone, today I will give you my opinion about killing stray dogs to prevent health problems and animal overpopulation.
It is clear that we have all noticed the high number of stray dogs in all parts of the country, so it is clearly a problem that includes all of us, without exception, but even so, it seems to be invisible to a part of society, because most of these dogs were probably abandoned by their own owners and because of this a lot of problems arise such as the poor quality of life of these dogs, accumulation of waste, bad smells, risk of transmission of diseases and even attacks and bites. But now, the solution to this issue is to kill the dogs? No, in no way, for the simple reason that it is not the dogs' fault, it is the fault of our society. Like humans, dogs have fundamental rights and must be treated morally as equals. Killing them reflects a clear disregard for the lives of dogs that for various reasons take public spaces as their living place.
The government has implemented certain measures such as the registration of pets by microchips, adoption centers, or reproductive control through sterilization which in my opinion are measures that can help in this issue but not entirely because they do not solve the root of the issue. The education is therefore very important in this case, to teach that we have to be responsible with our pets because their lives depend on us.
